  • First of all I wana congratulate yellow fashions for the amazing collection of sareez for every occasion ,thus making my life little easier . I usually choose my dress according to my mood eg hsppy mood I wear bright colour clothes with matching accessories. During my meeting or presentation I go for white and black with minimal accessories to keep it simple. My golden rule of dressing is to wear something comfortable and which suits me rather than going for Invogue things .I just love gometric prints or polka dots which are evergreen .

  • My all time favourite wear for office is sari. It enhances my personality and looks more elegant than any other outfit. I keep all my saris and blouses ironed and keep blouses and petticoats in a separate folder. I wear silky petticoats so that I can travel and move around easily. Every night, I just think about the next day’s schedule, and decide on what kind of sari I should be wearing the next day, just by looking at my wardrobe. I keep that sari with blouse and petticoat aside for the next day if possible. I decide as per the schedule and season. All this makes easy and fast to wear a sari.
For meetings I prefer cotton/ kotta /cotton silk sari with border. For regular wear I prefer wearing saris with light fabric, generally I choose silk sari without borders, or printed boarder which looks more elegant than any synthetic sari and don’t prefer those heavy bordered saris. I avoid heavy work, very bright colours and golden bordered saris in office. These saris I wear only during any festival celebration or Pooja in the office.
One must choose sari according to season also. Synthetic sari like is georgette, crape, chiffon etc. is my first choice during rainy season, it is easy to drape and very comfortable during rainy season. In summer I select cotton/Kotta/silk saris and even some times wear synthetic sari. Winter is the season in which you can wear sari of any material comfortably, so select any sari for regular days, except the saris for special occasions or festivals.

  • My wardrob has not much sarees. But all the sarees are of my choice. I was hospital employee( medico social worker) And working hours were 8a.m to 4p.m. So while getting dress up I never forgot that ‘I have to deal with the patients.’ Many of them were long term patients, who were not in contact with outer world for a long time. Sometimes they were frustrated with the hospital surrounding. I used to take round in the wards. So to make the patients happy in my presence I used to wear sarees which are very simple but having pleasing colours ( like-icecream pink, pista green, lemon yellow) with beautiful, charming prints. For that I was getting compliments from the patients that,’ ma’m aapki saree dekhke Akhon ko bahoot atcha lag raha hai.’ One day a long term cancer patient who was admitted in the hospital suggested me to wear a ’fulon ka gajara ’in the head. so that, patients will feel happy with the aroma of the flowers . The suggestion was good. But being a hospital employee I could not follow it. This is what my adjustment with my saree and my working place. And for some special mornings I use to wear some special sarees… so my king says ’Dekhatihi raho aaz durpan na tum, pyar ka ye muhurat nikal jayega..nikal jayega ! what else is required ?

  • I pick my saree according to the day i.e I follow a particular colour for each day like beige/white for monday,red/marroon/rust for tuesday, green for wednesday, yellow for thursday, sky blue for friday,black/navy blue for saturday.i also keep in mind the season like light colour cotton/handloom sarees for summer and pure silk sarees of deeper shades for winter.

  • Saree suits every woman. Cotton, kota and light weight sarees for summer and silk for winter. This is the only formula .According to the occasion or time, the colour, patern or texture of the sarees should be decided.

  • Hi Yellow Fashions Team nice endeavour.what to wear or what not for today is a big problem in itself.According to me we should keep three C ‘s in mind.Climatic condition, colour nd comfort nd type of our job.Dress nd colour should be choosen according to climate.Whatever we wear should fit us comfortably nd make us smart nd decent. Each day should be new so each day we should try to wear different colour nd accessories ,like jewelry etc.Seeing us everyone may say with big smile on face .’what a smart nd right choice!!Kahan se Noor aya Chehre peshabab aya.

  • Yes,it is indeed a very difficult task for a working women to decide her clothes in the morning. Firstly it depends whether you are wearing western or traditional clothes depending on your place of work. If you are to wear western clothes then jeans and matching tees are the best. More lmportant are your accessories like your jewellery should go with the outfit that you are planning to wear with it. Keep it ready at night. Also your foot wear should be stillotoes complimenting your dress. White tee with blue jeans or pants is evergreen combination. But you can choose a variety of tees and trousers, wear oxidised silve studds in your ears and chunky bangles in one hand, a fashionable wraist watch on the other hand and tie your hair with a trendy clutcher. And minimum make up. Last but not the least a smart, ethic, traditionalshoulder bag and a designer scarf around your neck or else a jacket.your ensemble is perfect. For traditional dresses designer kurtis with matching chouridars and Stoll are the best. Along with antique ear rings ,pendent with chain and colorful bangles or kadas. Footwear includes ethnic flat juties.. All your clothes should be clean, ironed sorted out at night to avoid last minute tention.
